N.; Ai, X. C.; Ambrose, D. J.; Amoroso, A.; An, F. F.; An, Q.; Olsen, S. L.; BESIII Collaboration; Olsen, S. L.The numbers of ψ(3686) events accumulated by the BESIII detector for the data taken during 2009 and 2012 are determined to be (107.0 ± 0.8) x10⁶ and (341.1 ± 2.1) x10⁶, respectively, by counting inclusive hadronic events, where the uncertainties are systematic and the statistical uncertainties are negligible. The number of events for the sample taken in 2009 is consistent with that of the previous measurement. The total number of ψ(3686) events for the two data taking periods is (448.1 ± 2.9) x 10⁶.Item Improved Measurements of Two-Photon Widths of The χ(cJ) States and Helicity Analysis For χ(c2) → γγ(Amer Physical Soc, 2018-10-01) Ablikim, M.; Achasov, M. Our measurements are consistent with expectations for the radiative transition process Y(4260) → γ X(3872).Item Observation of J/ψ → pp̅α₀(980) at BESII(2014-09-26) Ablikim, M.; Achasov, M. N.; Ai, X. C.; Albayrak, O.; Albrecht, M.; Ambrose, D. J.; An, F. F.; Lou, Xinchou; Lou, XinchouUsing 2.25 x 10⁸ J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage rings, we observe for the first time the process J/ψ → pp̅α₀(980), α₀ → π⁰η with a significance of 6.5σ (3.2σ including systematic uncertainties). N.; Ai, X. C.; Albayrak, O.; Albrecht, M.; Ambrose, D. J.; Amoroso, A.; An, F. F.; Lou, Xinchou; BESIII Collaboration; 0000-0003-0867-2189 (Lou, X); Lou, XinchouUsing 482 pb⁻¹ of data taken at √s = 4.009 GeV, we measure the branching fractions of the decays of D*⁰ into D⁰π⁰ and D⁰γ to be ℬ(D*⁰ → D⁰π⁰) = (65.5 ± 0.8 ± 0.5)% and ℬ(D*⁰ → D⁰γ) = (34.5 ± 0.8 ± 0.5)%, respectively, by assuming that the D*⁰ decays only into these two modes. The ratio of the two branching fractions is ℬ(D*⁰ → D⁰π⁰) / ℬ(D*⁰ → D⁰γ) = 1.90 ± 0.07 ± 0.05, which is independent of the assumption made above. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones systematic. The precision is improved by a factor of 3 compared to the present world average values.Item Precision Measurements of B(D⁺ → μ⁺ν_μ), the Pseudoscalar Decay Constant ʄ_D⁺ and the Quark Mixing Matrix Element |V_{cd}|(Amer Physical Soc, 2014-03) Ablikim, M.; Achasov, M. N.; Ai, X. C.; Albayrak, O.; Ambrose, D. J.; An, F. F.; An, Q.; Lou, Xinchou; Lou, XinchouWe report a measurement of the branching fraction B(D⁺ → μ⁺ν_μ) = [3.71 ± 0.19(stat) ± 0.06(sys)] x 10⁻⁴ based on 2.92 fb⁻¹ of data accumulated at √s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. This measurement, in conjunction with the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cd}| determined from a global Standard Model fit, implies a value for the weak decay constant ʄ_{D⁺} = (203.2 ± 5.3 ± 1.8) MeV. Additionally, using this branching fraction measurement together with a lattice QCD prediction for ʄ_{D⁺}, we find |V_{cd}| = 0.2210 ± 0.0058 ± 0.0047. In either case, these are the most precise results for these quantities to date.Item Search for the Radiative Transitions ψ(3770)→γη_c and γη_c(2S)(Amer Physical Soc, 2014-06-18) Ablikim, M.; Achasov, M. N.; Ai, X. C.; Albayrak, O.; Albrecht, M.; Ambrose, D. J.; An, F. F.; Lou, Xinchou; Lou, XinchouBy using a 2.92 fb⁻¹ data sample taken at √s=3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we search for the radiative transitions ψ(3770) → γη_c and γη_c(2S) through the hadronic decays η_c(η_c(2S)) → K_s^0 K^± π^∓. No significant excess of signal events above background is observed. We set upper limits at a 90% confidence level for the product branching fractions to be ℬ(ψ(3770)→γη_c) × ℬ(η_c→K_s^0 K^± π^∓) < 1.6×10⁻⁵ and ℬ(ψ(3770)→γη_c(2S)) × ℬ(η_c(2S)→K_s^0 K^± π^∓) < 5.6×10⁻⁶. Combining our result with world-average values of ℬ(η_c(η_c(2S))→K_s^0 K^± π^∓), we find the branching fractions ℬ(ψ(3770)→γη_c) < 6.8×10⁻⁴ and ℬ(ψ(3770)→γη_c(2S)) < 2.0×10⁻³ at a 90% confidence level.Item Search for the Rare Decays J/ψ → D_s⁻ ρ⁺ and J/ψ → D̅⁰ K̅*⁰.(Amer Physical Soc, 2014-04-09) Ablikim, M.; Achasov, M.
