William R. Pruner was employed from 15 February 1965 to 14 January 1966 when he was killed. The Vietcong shot Pruner to death in the cockpit of his downed C-47. Pruner was delivering food and supplies to a Vietnamese city in the Mekong Delta, 80 miles southwest of Saigon.
