Charles A. Lindbergh was born in 1902 in Detroit, Michigan. A pioneer aviator, Lindbergh is most known for being the first person to complete a non-stop flight across the Atlantic Ocean from New York to Paris in 1927 in his aircraft The Spirit of St. Louis. Lindbergh's life was also marked by tragedy, with kidnapping and murder of his son in 1932. During the lead up to World War II, Lindbergh was also a major figure in the America First movement, which was opposed to foreign intervention. He passed away in 1974.
