Abstract

Description

A collection of memorabilia from postwar Japan was exhibited in Special Collections July 3-August 18, 1985. The items were from the private collection of professor emeritus Howard F. Van Zandt. The collection included newspaper articles, a U.S. propaganda leaflet, photographs, maps and charts. Two pictures accompany the article. One from the collection shows Van Zandt among the ruins of Sendai, Japan in 1946. The other is a portrait of Van Zandt.
