Abstract
Lead halide perovskite is an emerging material for photovoltaic applications with the standard formula ABX3. CsPbBr3 has outstanding stability compared to other lead halide perovskite materials. Lead halide perovskite band gap energy is tunable by ion exchange in the B (lead) and X(halogen) sites. Close-Spaced Sublimation (CSS) is a scalable Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) method that can be used for CsPbBr3 thin-film manufacturing and ion exchanging on CsPbBr3 thin-film. This thesis investigates the CsPbBr3 thin-film ion exchange on the B and X sites in the CSS system and applies the infrared spectrum as a novel tool to characterize the treated CsPbBr3 thin-films.
