Caption reads:"Ici, l'appareil est fermé. Le moteur est mis en marche et au moyen du volant l'on donne à l'hélice tournant à toute vitesse l'angle [8'] incidence convenable pour monter on faire du sur place." [Here the aircraft is closed. The engine is running and with the wheel one turns the propellor at full speed the angle effect adequate for rising one stands still.] A man is sitting at controls of the flying machine, which is mounted onto a wooden frame.
