Description
Rear starboard side view of a damaged Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress airplane, tail number 238157, on March 24, 1944. Markings on nose reads: "Four Freedoms." Captions on front of the image reads: "510 (44) W.P.U 3-24-44. Ash Ford B-17G, 42-38157. Battle Damage. O.F.S.A.D." Captions on the back of the image reads: "Change of no. 1 and no. 2 engines and all associate parts necessary. Left tire and wheel must be changed. Holes in Wings and Fuselage skin to be patched.
