Abstract
This report reviews numerical methods for the accurate calculation of spherical Bessel functions and for the location of Mie resonances in a dielectric sphere. Detailed numerical results are presented for a real index of refraction n = 1.47. FORTRAN source listings are provided for computer programs that implement the algorithms described in the text.
