The movements were African American Civil Rights, Chicano, American Indian, Women's Liberation, LGBT, and The Arab Spring. Each segment was separated into three parts: 1) an introduction, 2) the media's response to a significant event, and 3) a conclusion about the after-effects on the movements by the media's involvement. Following the screening a question and answer session was conducted by Touré, an American journalist and co-host of MSMBC's The Clyde. During the discussion Touré talked about the positives and negatives of the media's coverage in each movement.
