Disregard the first line unspecific chemotherapy, no therapeutic drug had shown successfully target lung SqCC. Fortunately, our previous studies identified an addictive reliance of glucose in SqCC which implicates potential targeted therapeutic strategies. Here, I perform a brief study of ketogenic diet treatment in mice and reveal a significant capability of lowing blood glucose and insulin level. Moreover, Lung SqCC bearing mice with ketogenic diet reveal markedly inhibition of tumour progression. Also, ketogenic diet suppresses PI3K/AKT pathway which aberrantly upregulate in SqCC and promotes cisplatin anti-cancer effect. All in all, this study provides a novel diet treatment for lung SqCC, in which therapeutic options are clinically limited.application/pdfenKetogenic dietLungs—CancerSquamous cell carcinomaThe Anti-Cancer Effect of Ketogenic Diet on Lung Squamous Cell CarcinomaThesis2019-06-19
