Dr. Frederick Turner is a Founders Professor of Literature and Creative Writing. His areas of specialization include Literature and science, poetry, Shakespeare, Renaissance literature, cultural studies and critical theory. During his career he has authored twenty-eight books and won several literary, artistic and academic honors. He is a fellow of the Texas Institute of Letters, and was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008 (46 international nominations).
